This VIRTUAL Masterclass will be delivered by IBICUS via ZOOM by a fully-trained leader. The timings are 09:00-13:30 UK time with a set-up / introductory meeting starting at 08:30 UK time. Please note that IBICUS Masterclasses are not official IB PD workshops are any certificates issues do not count towards school authorisation and evaluation.
Dr. Christian Bryan is an experienced workshop leader for the IB as well as a Pearson author with over 20 years of IB teaching experience. The masterclass will involve understanding the new Guide in terms of delivery, planning and exam technique. It will equip participants with the tools to confidently implement the new DP Psychology curriculum (first assessment 2027) by blending conceptual learning with real-world classroom practice.
Drawing on resources from the new Guide and the accompanying work and textbooks, the masterclass will unpack the integrated model of Concepts, Content and Contexts (“the 3Cs”) that lies at the heart of the new assessment model. Teachers will engage with exemplar tasks, classroom-ready strategies, and practical ways to scaffold student understanding into exam techniques. Special attention will be paid to internal assessment preparation and the new demands of Paper 1, 2 and HL Paper 3.
Participants will also receive detailed training in planning effective schemes of work, conducting class practicals, and teaching with the new conceptual focus.
Please note that IBICUS Masterclasses are led by fully qualified leaders but are not official IB-approved workshops and certificates do not count towards school authorisation or evaluation.
