Simon Poppy

Simon Poppy has taught IB Visual Art for 18 years and Art for over 30.  Previously Director of Art at a UK independent school, he now works as an independent educational advisor. He has fulfilled many roles within the IB and is currently a member of the curriculum development group for the visual art guide 2022.  He is an experienced workshop leader, examiner and is co-author of ‘The Oxford IB Diploma Programme: Visual Arts Course Companion’. His training as an artist was at St Martins School of Art and at Goldsmiths University London. His art practice is in etching, painting and lithography; exploring space and light in nature and architecture.
