Amer Malhas

Amer is a seasoned educator with over 37 years of teaching experience, including 35 years specializing in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. His expertise spans both Design Technology and Digital Society in the IB Diploma Programme (DP) at Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL), as well as MYP Design. With 17 years of affiliation with the IB Educator Network (IBEN), Amer has served as an Examiner and Team Leader for Design Technology, an Examiner for Paper 2 (SL/HL) and Paper 3, and an Internal Assessment Moderator. Additionally, he is an MYP Design Workshop Leader, facilitating professional development for educators worldwide. Currently, Amer leads education and curriculum development at a STEM centre within one of Qatar’s innovation hubs. His role includes designing and delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions, and fostering a collaborative learning environment where educators share best practices and innovative teaching strategies. Amer’s dedication to international education is evident in his extensive IB experience, leadership roles, and commitment to enhancing teaching and learning. His work continues to inspire educators and students, driving forward excellence in education.
